Review
This is official description
TablEdit is a program for creating, editing, printing and listening to tablature and sheet music (standard notation) for guitar and other fretted, stringed instruments, including mandolin, bass and banjo (even taking into consideration the special aspect of the fifth string).
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 2.6
TablEdit is musical software. For all kinds of stringed musical instruments like guitar, bass and mandolin, sheet music can be created, edited and listened to. This program is not restricted for guitarists only. Harmonica, drums, tin whistle, auto harp, violin and diatonic accordion are also other instruments taking advantage of it.
The files that can be imported by TablEdit are MIDI, MusicXML, ASCII, TabRite etc. The files can be saved in TablEdit format or the above formats can be used. Whatever played on MIDI instrument can be directly converted to tablature by this software. Windows, Macintosh and Pocket PC support TablEdit. The tablature supported by TablEdit is of high quality.
This program has many bright features. Both standard and tablature notion are supported by it. The conversion between the two hardly takes any time. Many files of TablEdit can be opened at the same time and it supports multiple languages. Images of the output can be saved in various graphic formats. Chord Diagrams can also be edited and constructed.
Many advantages in terms of music are also provided. All kinds of effects are supported. Historical notes and playing can be inserted. All the chord diagrams are separately printed. |
- Many TablEdit files can be opened at a time
|
- Demo can only save 16 measures
